A friend is in need of one - preferably in working condition - as his has taken to acting up at startup. Only the fuel gauge is working and the other 2 are acting funky. Let me know and thanks!
There's probably some rust corrosion on the back of the gauge. I would try and pull the gauge's out and check the speed nuts were the ground strap is.
Drop the steering column down you should be able to pull the gauges out enough to get to the back of the gauges it'll probably be easier on A non air car.
His mechanic (allegedly) fixed the fuel gauge and I think he may have screwed something up in behind the cluster. What you say makes sense.
I just stripped out a 71 GS today that had factory gauges. I'll be listing these soon so if interested please let me know. I have the pig tail to convert a non gauge car as well. That may also be his problem? Did he convert from a non gauge car to gauges?? (Without re-wiring correctly)
