Mercy.. the boys over at our host must have finally changed the settings on the database software that runs the board here. With 150 guys on it right now, it's lightening fast now.. which is what we were promised with this last upgrade in hardware and software, but I was beginning to wonder here.. the board had been spotty and slow at times... I was getting a little.. well ... :rant: :rant: I tell ya, if this is gonna be the speed this thing goes at now, it's well worth the extra dough we are now paying to run it. How's everyone else's speed?.. I'm on my cable modem here at home, and it's faster than it has ever been.. Hat's off to Mike and the boys at Rack Nine, looks like they finally got us squared away. And thanks to everyone for being patient, in the last few weeks here. JW
Just got a PM from Mike, they are still doing some tweaks, so it may go in and out of that speed for a little while here yet. Also have to make sure it stays stable. But boy, that is a tease.. Since we are now running with basically everything new, hardware and some software, and even the latest version of V-bulletin, I am sure it will take a while yet to get it all tweaked out. JW
My cable internet connection has been spotty at best for the past week, and it's really ticking me off. I've already had the cable company out once. I'm going to have to call them again. I can't take this crap! I pay $100 a month for digital cable and their fastest internet connection.:rant: Thanks for getting the board working again guys:beer
JW. I'm using a wireless provider that runs at (near)T1 speed (I just did a ping test and I'm at 1436.1 Kbps) and the board takes FOREVER to load for me. I cannot imagine using dialup. I'm talking in the order of minutes to load. Send a little speed down my way, please.
Hit & Miss over here Mostly very slow over here ! I have rebooted , refreshed , and still slow . Once in awhile I get a little teazer but still slow . I catch myself checking my modem box to see if it's working . I'm with Brad ... Send some speed over here . :rant: :sleep: :sleep: :sleep:
Pretty good, once in awhile i'll get a spot where it takes a little more to load than others but for the most part it is pretty good as for over here! :beer

Its running quite well for me. I'm on dialup, but until your upgrade, the board took a lot longer to load than other web pages. Now its as fast as anything else I load. Now I need broadband.

It is still really spotty for me.... sometimes great, and sometimes my connection times out. I have dial up. Sometimes it's very fast, sometimes frustratingly slow. It's getting better though. Sometimes when I post, it slows way down, then I get the "Website not responding" message. I have to close out and reload V8. It's then that Mike Bucy's avitar runs through my head. :rant: :laugh:
With a cable modem my access has been very erratic. Sometimes the pages load, sometimes it times out. Sometimes it runs extremely fast then it suddenly bogs down again. Very unsteady. o No:
fast and slow I have broadband cable connection, when the site came back I was extremely slow, now its just slow. Just had to be honest. But atleast im not alone anymore p When the site crashed I thought my pc crashed, then I realized there were other sites on the inter net. wow theres alot out there! :sleep:
