Talk about sticking with something. Bet this pops on a Cold Case File TV show one of these days. With all the neat stuff about Micket Thompson over all the years, it would make a full feature film. SEMA eNews, Vol. 10, No. 10 – March 7, 2007 MICKEY THOMPSON’S KILLER GETS TWO LIFE TERMS Convicted murderer Michael Goodwin maintains his innocence. A judge sentenced Michael Goodwin, convicted of murdering Mickey and Trudy Thompson, to two consecutive life terms on March 1st, according to an Associated Press report. A jury convicted Goodwin January 4 of two counts of murder. Goodwin called the Thompsons’ 1988 murders a tragedy, but continued to insist his innocence. He was found guilty of hiring two hit men, who have never been caught, to kill the Thompsons in what is considered revenge for a business partnership that went sour. “I have condolences for [Mickey Thompson’s sister Collene] Ms. Campbell,” the 61-year-old Goodwin said. “But I can’t apologize because I’m not guilty.” Collene Campbell has led a nearly 19-year legal battle to get a conviction for her brother and sister-in-law’s murder. Prosecutors said the case will remain open until the two gunmen are caught.
Off topic again, but thats what my stay at home wife looks like when I get home from work, after having been home all day with the monsters,I mean kids:laugh:
That was a shame for Mickey and his wife. This guy must have been a real piece of work to hire a hitman to kill them over a business deal.
Time for an Olds hi-jack Dave, Riding in our IH Eagle roll-back tilt-bed tonight I was able to see better into a salvage yard alongside I-80. In the yard sits a '69 Olds 2dr Sedan I couldn't see from my truck. Going to check it out next weekend and will let you know what I find. It is sitting not too far from where you had your accident.
