Not a baseball fan, not really a Detroit fan either, but this was awesome! Was watching Ohio State annihilate Michigan State (or did Michigan State annihilate themselves again right off the bat?) and turned it off. 2 out, bottom of the ninth, tie game, AL championship game, home run with 2 on.....to take a 4-0 sweep. Wow, been a long time. Now if UM can just put away those pesky Nittany lions tonight. Nov 18..... :Brow:
Agreed. Not a Michigan native but went to school at U of M and have lived in MI for 7years now. Good to see the Tigers win the pennant after years of mediocrity. That makes the Tigers, Pistons and Red Wings. Now if something can be done about the Lions... ou: FJ

I was in sixth grade when Lolich and the boys whupped up on St. Louis in '68. Now that was impressive. Sadly, I didn't get to enjoy much of it as my older brother was killed in 'Nam around the same time. That kinda overshadowed the joy of the World Series win.
