Does anyone know where I can buy new or reproduced plastic side molding clips? They are rectangular in size with an oval /o-ring on the back that pushes into the body of my 65 SKYLARK. Thank you.
As far as I know they don't exist. I have sold quite a few extra used ones that I had due to that reason.
I know Postons used to have them. Somebody must be re-poping them. They called them Bathtub fasteners.
Hey Ponch, If you didn't hear. Postons is out of business. It would be nice if someone was repoping them. I have not found them yet myself.
Hi Doug, Your molding clips look like the same ones I have. I have some used ones but I had hoped to find new replacement clips. Thanks.
Brian, That's why I said used to. They had to be getting them from somewhere so someone must be making them. PONCH
The side molding clips that OPGI sell are the wrong ones. Mine have an oval on the back with an o-ring around the oval. The oval pushes into an oval shaped hole in the sheet metal on my car. Look at PAINEKILLER'S attached images of his used clips to see what the correct clips look like. Most of my clips are very brittle from age. I still need the clips with the attached arm that go into the square hole on each end of the door molding. Some one out there sells new ones or have them in their possession. Thanks guys. This still needs to be solved.
