Howdy folks, Please see this post for some back story: http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.p...-Water-Pump-Question-about-brackets-or-pulley I am of the opinion that I have the "long" power steering brackets on my car right now. Does anyone have the correct brackets to get my power steering pump to sit lower on the block to give me the clearance I need? Thanks for your time.
I have several different PS brackets... one aluminum bracket that mounts the pump quite low... HOW much "clearance" do you need? I have a PS pump with a short filler neck than what appears on your car... maybe a pump with an inch lower filler neck would help ya??? ....just throwing out stuff to consider... Wheelz, Tampa Bay

Tony the one with the picture looks like a Sbb bracket, the other one is the one that Ed needs, the guy want $115.00 for it.Eddie, your best bet is to go with 71,72 brackets, they are the same for both Sbb and BBB.Bruno.
hers mine, I had them upside down the first time I put it together and it sat high. these are the 71's
HOLY MOLY Joe!! I think I may have had mine upside down too!!! I am going to try it the other way around. Thanks brother!! Nice looking engine by the way
Darn it! Nope, I had it right side up. Your front bracket definitely has a different geometry than mine though. That one should work for me. Now all I need to do is find one!
Ed, I think I've got one of that style ray: ... I'll look into my storage tomorrow... Wheelz, Tampa Bay
