Rob - How do your search CL for your posts? I am looking for a 70-72 Skylark or GS, and it would be nice to search nationally for just those years. I've looked at CL, but didn't see a way to do it.

I'll post it here since a few are asking about it:

The best way to do it is to use Google, as follows. Go to the Google search box and type in the terms you want. The key on a Boolean search is to put a "+" in front of every word that has to appear in every result that is returned. If you want all sites with a specific term not to appear, you put a "-" in front. For the Craigslist part, you enter in the term "site:craigslist.org".

So, to look for all posts with the terms buick, gs and skylark in them on any craigslist site, you would type the following in the Google search box:

    +buick +gs +skylark site:craigslist.org

This will find anywhere on all Craigslist locations all posts with all of the terms: "gs" and "buick" and "skylark". You could also add +1972 if you wanted it to also include that term.

If anyone has any questions, let me know.

I use this to find the ads for the year-based craigslist posts I do. I start at the early decades since they are rarer, and once I get a hit in the '20s or '30s, then I'm set for the decades after where the cars are more commonly found. Finding cars from the teens is rare.
