In the new issue of MCE there's a story on the Curious Yellow '71 Hemi Cuda. I'm helping my friend that owns the shop (Jeff's Resurrections--Taylor, TX) on a couple Oldsmobiles right now..getting them ready for the OCA Bowling Green Nats.

I got to do a few things on this car as it was restored...it was interesting comparing these to the GM A-bodies as we went through the resto process.

The '71 is a really cool car. It's amazing the $$$ those things continue to bring.

My Dad is restoring a '70 Challenger T/A right now (first non- GM restoration for him) and you are right, it is interesting comparing the Mopar with the GM cars we are used to working on. The Mopars look cool and are strong runners but the quality and construction sure are cheap in many areas. I would still love to have one someday!

I'll highjack your ??? to Patton here, sure he won't mind. JUst want to add the info on the prior week.

OCA Nats are 7/17 through 7/21. Come out a few days earlier as the previous weekend is the Dick Miller Olds powered Nats in Norwalk, Ohio (7/13-7/15). Largest Olds performance meet and car show in its 15th year (I think). originally was the Mondello Nats until he and Dick had a riff about 8 years ago. They have a neat car show there and also a King of the Hill race for show cars only.

Are you going to make the Homecoming in Lansing this year? I have the blue Pure Stock Ramrod and was parked about 2 cars down from you in the Race Cars class a couple of years ago. I would guess you'll have the Go Shop wagon in the Race Car class in BG? Joe Donnelly has been drumming that up and none better than your car. I'll have my car there, will run a few practice runs at Beech Bend on the final Day, but like Dick Miller, I won't enter the competition. I hate bracket racing. Heads-up only for me .

That "Curious Yellow" is one of the most unique colors ever put on a car. It really shows itself on the larger B-bodies-Charger/Road Runner. Yellow from one angle, green from another. Either way, it sears your orbs, Daddy-O.
