    Ohio????
If I were that close I would drive down and buy it myself.
I live in CT, the last time I was in PA, I bought two cases, I though "I'll just drink a little at a time, it should last about a month. At the end of the first week, I was out and had to go back to the regular stuff.
However, I did buy some in NJ when we went down to LeadEast. Again, I though it would last longer.
My brothers wife is from Carlisle, everytime he goes down to visit her family I ask him to bring some home but.....noooooooo.
We just need them to distribute it further from the plant.
    Now I am REALLY thirsty.

    Uh Derek,

Isn't that called bootlegging? Be careful. I know, it sounds like know big deal. But along time ago the Miss state police confiscated (drank & partied) with all my cases of Lone Star beer from Tex.

I live about 20 min. away from the brewery & worked on some of their HVAC, you should take the tour someday. Free beer at the end. How would you ship if anyway? If you tell me how to ship it, I'll get you what you want. Going on vacation on Wed. so it would be about a week. Let me know, I'll do what I can, John

I had it in Virginia once before. I've stayed away every time I've been back. It's definitely not my "cup of tea."

You may just have to go stock up in person.

Yuengling Lager is one of the best beers I've ever had.

WARNING: it isn't yellow swill like Bud, PBR and the other USA beers. It is a true lager... brown, thick and rich. YUM!!!!!!

Interestingly, it didn't seem that brown, thick, and rich to me. I guess having grown up on micros since the late 80's, I have a different thought when it comes to beers.

I've had a hard time finding micros when I've taken trips out to Virginia (Stafford/Fredericksburg areas). I did get lucky and found two 6 packs of Red Hook ESB when I stayed down in Fredericksburg.

When I asked for microbrews at the store, they all seemed to point me towards the Yuengling, although one person told me, "beware of the Yuengling burn."

It's true...you can find it in all the major grocery stores in the Washington DC area. It's always on tap in Northen Virginia.

    Great beer!!! :beer

In Fort Myers and never heard of it? Guess you don't go to Busch Gardens, then -- big Yeungling Brewery right next to it.

    Yards -

You need to go to BEER SCHOOL!

A lager beer can be either dark or light colored, heavy or light on the palate. "Lager" just refers to the yeast type (bottom fermenting) and the procedure (cool fermentation - 40 to 55 degrees F). Pilsener is a variety of lager, named after the city of Pils in the old Czech republic. Lager is stored ("lager" is a German word meaning "to store") at cool temperatures for 3 or more months to allow the flavor to develop. Lager has a clean, generally bitter flavor.

Ale is the other major style of beer. Ale is fermented differently (top fermenting yeast) at warmer temperatures (60 to 75 degrees F). Ale generally has a more complicated taste, not as clean tasting as a lager. It has the reputation of being stronger than lager, but that's not necessarily so.

I agree with you on one thing - most of the rabbit p*** that's sold by the major breweries is not in any sense "real beer"!

Did anyone else besides me think that "Yeungling Beer" was a Chinese import? I was very surprised to read that they consider themselves America's oldest brewery. I wonder how true that is?

Swill? Man that's harsh. I'll take anything below room temperature and be happy. Dark or otherwise. The best beer is free beer. If i'm drinking and i buy most of the time it's Pabst Blue Ribbon. But then again i'm a redneck, so what do i know? The only micro- brew i ever drink ain't made with barley and hops. It's made with corn.
