I did'nt see a single 8 til late store in the entire street was it really Pakistan?

 

Brave guy who went there, must have hooked up with the right connections. Scary to see him with the finger on the trigger as soon as the put anything in his hands, and didn't know how to shoot either, made my palms sweat just seeing it.

 

Lived in Tehran, Iran back in 77 and 78. Parents worked for Ohio Bell at the time and were offered a job with American Bell International to go overseas and help restore their Telco facilities infrastructure. Living on a farm in Medina, Ohio one day, and in the heart of Tehran the next, was a huge culture shock to me and my younger brother. People were generally good to the Americans until Khomeini attempted to regain power and the Shaw obviously couldnt keep control of his country. Thats when things went really bad. 24 hour curfew and infighting put us Americans at risk and it was only a matter of time before we got out. Bags were packed at the door and when the sirens went off, a small bus took us to the airport. I was 16 then, and it happened in English class at the American High school. We boarded a plane within two hours and off to Germany. Less than a week later, they took the Americans hostage. Found out later they looted our home and stole virtually everything - including my prized motorcycle. (As a kid it meant everything) The thing I remember most is the way they would handle a given situation. It was kill thy brother, love thy brother in order of words. To me it was shoot first, and ask questions later. They would not have a problem turning on each other like wild dogs and I witnessed it first hand. To me these bastards are animals, pure and simple, and a real threat to us, and not stupid by any stretch. This video is a very clear description as to how they live in some of these little areas of nowhere.

 

Owning a semi-automatic or even automatic weapon is more like a status over there; like we own cars (for US: and guns) here.

For those that don't know him, Major General Peter Cosgrove is an 'Australian treasure!


General Cosgrove was interviewed on the radio recently. You'll love his reply to the lady who interviewed him concerning guns and children. Regardless of how you feel about gun laws you gotta love this! This is one of the best comeback lines of all time. It is a portion of an ABC interview between a female broadcaster and General Cosgrove who was about to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop visiting his military headquarters.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER:
So, General Cosgrove, what things are you going to teach these young boys when they visit your base?
GENERAL COSGROVE:
We're going to teach them climbing, canoeing, archery and shooting.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER:
Shooting! That's a bit irresponsible, isn't it?

GENERAL COSGROVE:
I don't see why, they'll be properly supervised on the rifle range.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER:
Don't you admit that this is a terribly dangerous activity to be teaching children?

GENERAL COSGROVE:
I don't see how. We will be teaching them proper rifle discipline before they even touch a firearm.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER:
But you're equipping them to become violent killers.

GENERAL COSGROVE:
Well, Ma'am, you're equipped to be a prostitute, but you're not one, are you?
