Cars like that Nova are fast but single purpose. Can't fit 5 or 6 people in that Nova and cruise comfortably at highway speeds and knock down some decent fuel mileage like the Buick.
That was a big money street race held at this years Northeast GS/GN Buick Performance Weekend at Raceway park on Labor Day Weekend.Avon with the turbo car runs in the TSO points series and my son ran him with the Skyhawk at Cecil for a few bucks and lost by less than a bumper! Jr treed him but that turbo car makes some BIG power.
I dont think that Buick is gonna be out on the highway knocking down good fuel mileage anytime soon!! Great video though!! Thats whats great about turbo Buicks... You cant tell how fast its gonna be.. except ones like that one with a turbo the size of a basketball:Brow:

How fast did he run, same car as this? http://www.turbobuicks.com/articles/4point1ForCheap/ (go to bottom for overall pic) Looking through the link a bit more, it seems like he used a stock turbo, so it wouldnt be the same car. A cool car/build anyway though.
Those of us that were there to witness that race saw an unbelieveable run and when the Buick ended up winning,the crowd went nuts!!!The amazing thing is the Nova got the jump and was half track,but the Buick quickly ran him down and won the race. Avon has one great running Buick!!!!! Great job,Avon!!!!!!!:TU:
