We started cutting trees yesterday. This farm has no decent roads so the helicopter saves time and money.

    I'll take one with roots.

a few years back I started buying live tree's. makes the "neighbor screen" go up slower but why kill a poor tree?

What do you get for your trees. I assume you sell in large bulk to the people who truck them around. Just wonder what gross seller price is.

Loaded my buddie's late model big block gas burner ton with 425 trees yesterday for a 40 mile haul up the mountain. Don't think he will try it again. These new big blocks have been a dissappointment! Topped out on the first hill @ 24 mph. The Ford Powerstrokes pulling a heavier load topped the same hill @ 45 mph. Big difference!

how many trees can you airlift at one time ? looks expensive, choppers are expensive to run. i assume they dont have to go very far like that ?

if i saw that from a distance, i probably would've guessed it was the G man hauling out pot plants.

The chopper pilot has a jet ranger chopper this year instead of the little things in the past. So, he can haul 20 trees from 5 to 9 feet tall. $600 per hour to fly it. Hauling the trees less than 1/2 mile. Takes him 40 sec. for a turnaround. Expensive, but worth it. Pot plants would bring good money. Shame we don't have a few!!! :Brow:
