    While I was at Bowling Green this year, Don MacIntosh tipped me off that this video from 1977 was now on You Tube. Don and his brother Dave are really the epitome of southern gentlemen. They just ooze charisma and intelligence. Don has countless stories of Buick races from back in my day. One such tale was always almost more than I could imagine. Now we have a You Tube video as a testamate of days gone by when Road Atlanta was tamed by a first time driver in a home built hot rod. Just amazing!

    Several years ago there was an Oldsmobile Toronado-powered Corvair sitting in the body shop of Mandeville Chevrolet in Attleboro, MA.

    I'm a Corvair lover too.I had a 400 HP mid-engine Corv-Eight that was an absolute blast to drive for several years.High HP and low weight yields a potent machine.Noisy,cramped,but potent.

    Quite welcome Alan. I believe this Corvair was Buick 455" powered.
