That Hemi car is the last of a long line of Tennessee Bo Weevil race cars owned by Ray Godman of Memphis. The guy hovering over the engine is Preston Davis, one of Ray's drivers back in the day.

Godman campaigned cars in T/F & F/C. He participated in the first NHRA Nationals in 1955 (Great Bend, Kansas) and had a perfect Indy attendance record through 1970.

This car had been sleeping in Ray's place of business since the late 70s or so and they were prepping it for attendance at the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion. Everyone was OK luckily.

The people who comment on these vids all together are a direct result of cocaine overdose....Like when the vette blows to crap they are cheering and laughing??? I find nothing funny about it...Then they ask wheres the track personel??? Try working the starting line and you will understand its a tough job in all honesty the starter was probably getting yelled at by some yuppie because he spun at the line on radials. ou: I like the site I just wanna donkey punch some of these goobers.
