"Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)"--(1963) written by Elle Greenwich, Jeff Barry and Phil Spector and recorded with the unmistakable Wall of Sound touch of Phil Spector. Cher was often a background singer and may have been on this tune originally as would Leon Russell on the piano, Sonny Bono, percussion, Nino Tempo, guitar, and Hal Blaine on drums. But, here is Darlene on the Lettermen show in 2014 singing the same song. She in the female answer to the voice of Roy Orbison.
Frosty the Snowman--The Ronettes (1963) produced by none other than Phil Spector who is still serving time for murder.
I found and like this version made famous by Mariah.... <iframe width="781" height="439" src="" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>
For my beer drinking car buddies..............1st line of the whole song? "I got a Trans Am in primer paint".......
Poor video quality, but one of my favorite songs of all time. An interesting note (at least to me): Notice that they are called "The Mercy" not simply 'Mercy' A BETTER Audio, but just a single still.
