In the second incarnation of the Animals (often referred to as "The New Animals"), they had a guitarist who would later find international fame maybe 8 years later. I don't think he appeared in those songs, but maybe on the last Animals' album. Can anyone name him? You may know him better for the group he was in rather than the individual himself.

I've been a fan since the first time I heard this song in my teenage years shortly after it was released. As with you, I still am a fan. :beer

If you're using a desktop that's not Apple based, it's rather easy to do this. Works best on Microsoft systems, which is all I use.

When you play a video, look for the "share" tab on the left just below the vid screen. Click on that, which opens up to show an "embed" option along with the link already highlighted in blue. Right click on this which opens a box where you can copy the link sort of to your mouse. Then return here, open the reply box and right click again which opens the box where you can paste the link to your reply.

I enjoyed the Rundgren videos. I feel his best work was on "A Wizard, A True Star". It is the album I think of when I think of Rundgren.

    Yup!:)

I saw one of those Daryl Hall videos several years ago but didn't really follow up with it. I look forward to spending some time watching them. From a radio perspective, Philly is my hometown, and while I was not into Hall & Oates, I've always known they were truly talented.

But Rundgren (from Upper Darby, I believe?) is on a completely different level. His stuff with Utopia I simply don't "get," but he's a multi-instrumentalist who's also produced some heavy acts.

Before he was famous, he was in a group called The Nazz. It's possible you may know this song, as it was a minor hit, but I think these days it's more of a regional nugget. They also did the original version of "Hello It's Me," but it's nowhere near as good as Todd's.

Funny thing about The Nazz: Yeah, they're before my time, so I only heard the above song on the "Psychedelic Supper" show on 93.3 WMMR (truly one of the finest FM station in the 1980s) in the 1980s. They were on the Screen Gems label, which was the same one as the Monkees. In fact, they were kinda marketed as the teeny-bopper successor to the TV group, being on the cover of teen magazines and such, but the marketing push was not very successful. You can tell from the above video that they had money behind them, but to general popular culture they sank into obscurity.

Strangely, they are linked to a group that would eventually become Cheap Trick.

I do remember The Nazz. They did several albums, but nothing, other than 'Open My Eyes' seemed to be popular. Did not know about the Cheap Trick connection.

Look up Fuse and Sick Man of Europe to learn more about the convoluted history that eventually became Cheap Trick. Fuse did have one album and two people from the eventual Cheap Trick were in that band.

Have you ever heard this little ditty from The Nazz? Gets occasional play on Sirius/XM 27. The images could be better though.
