I believe this is correct for other years too a couple years either way.

I had planned to put it in my 68 4spd car but sold that car a while ago so I can't use it anymore.

I paid a lot for this piece. Am asking $850. It is chrome metal piece and in excellent shape.

Ok. It's up at my farm. I'll be going there Tuesday for a couple days to do some chores. Should have pics by later in the week. No internet access there so it will take a few days to go back and forth.

I don't have the piece that goes between the seats, and was just offering the consolette on the trans tunnel.

However, for that price I will also include a never used repro lid for the between the seats console that I found in a closet the other day. I won't need that either, and it's about a $50 value.

    Mike,

I'm interested in the repo lid if you don't include with the console. If so, what is the standalone lid price?

Greg, Mike Garrison sells the repro lids and I think they're about $60. I believe that his also have metal caps on all the posts to keep them from splitting when you screw on the hinge, etc. They're good quality.

I don't know if it's good or bad for Michael to say this, but when I lived in China I arranged to reproduce these lids for the 68-69 cars at his request. I got a company that is within the China Aviation Authority to do them. It then should go without saying that they know how to do parts to specifications. They make airplane parts.

After looking at the first prototype which didn't have the grain (I have one of those, still), we looked at the second prototype which is what I'm offering here. In final production for Michael, we increased the diameter of the posts by about 2mm and put metal sleeves on them to make them stronger than the originals. They're also made of the best strong plastic materials of today. The test I put the prototype through was to put it on the floor and stand on it with one foot. I weigh over 200 pounds and it didn't crack.

If you've got a 68-69 and need a lid, talk to Michael G. They are better than from the factory and appearance wise identical. There's no doubt in my mind about that. It wasn't cheap, the die to mold them was expensive. So don't think he's making a lot of money at that price. I'm quite certain that after three years he hasn't come close to breaking even yet on doing it. At his expense, he's helped people out that needed this part. I put a lot of time into it too and don't regret a minute. I hope we all appreciate what each other contributes and will do our own part to contribute what we can.

Im going to pass..the description has changed. I was expecting a "console" not a "consolette" as the listing stated originally.

If I'm not mistaken, only the automatic on the floor cars had the long console.
