  3. Out of Walpole, right? I think it had a digital stick on clock on the dash when it was on eBay in 02 or 03. You can still see the spot where it was in the BJ photos.

Thanks for the info. I would say that anyone buying at a B-J auction better do their homework, because I'd think almost everyone reading that description would assume it's a documented Stage 1. Maybe it's not outright false, but it's definitely deceptive. And I'd be really hot under the collar if I went all the way to Scottsdale to bid on the stage 1 and find out after I got there that it wasn't. Not that I've accumulated the life savings you need to bid on any B-J car :Brow:.

In my book, the fact that car has stage 1 fender emblems and air cleaner decal makes it a clone, even if the engine is dead stock 455. I don't have any problem with clones if they're identified as such, but B-J is guilt of deceptive practice here by not disclosing this one.

Well BJ doesnt write the description the sellers do .And I knew they dont get the Sloan or Wayne report for every car they consign. All they want is the 18% commision

The car is an original real deal stage 1 4 speed has the original motor the rear has been changed to a 12 bolt... Bud Kearney of Walpole owned the car for 30 years till I bought it off him in 05... I remember going to the bus stop when I was a kid and hearing that thing rumble up the road...very impresive car...was tuned nice... I sold it to a Fred Engelheart ..he sold it to the Torino collection..and he was going to do a frame off on it..I guess he decided not to and its here for sale at Barrett... I dont think the car will do high numbers due the fact that its a driver..I guess time will tell....I cant wait to go there and watch it go through...

Fri-Sat are the best cars, and most exspensive door passes. I believe most these Buick are going Fri and Sat evenings.
