Richen the secondary circuit also. But you are moving along well. Keep working on it. An air fuel meter would help but work with what you have.
I went with the biggest jets that came with kit. I used .107 jets for the primary and .104 secondary. I'm Hoping that I unlocked some burnout power and the ability to break 100mph. If so I'll probably leave it alone until spring. I will rarely drive it in the winter so it doesn't make sense to fine tune it any further in this cold climate. I'll tune it to run good for warmer conditions. I believe This current jetting will be even richer in Warmer humid weather.
I always question that too mark. People talk about needing back pressure but free flowing is what you want. I think it comes from two stroke dirt bikes where you do need back pressure?
Truth. When I rebuilt my 350 it’s sounds completely different through the exact same exhaust system, Flowmaster.
Summit magazine has descriptions of different muffler characteristics. some claim the back pressure promotes good low end where free flowing promotes good high end. H pipe is supposed to help low end power too. Not sure how much of this is real accurate though.
Iowa is a great place to be from. Home town of Norwalk, grew up on uncles farm outside Carlisle. Now live in the desert southwest.
Many dyno tests have been done on exhaust. Just need to look up the information. They actually smashed header tubes on a dyno, and seen increases in power.
Town of 33,000, coldest daytime high of 45, coldest overnight low of 18. It's already starting to warm up. Real dry, cactus and rattlesnake dry.
I thought smashing the header pipes didn't impact power, or impacted it very little. I didn't remember it increasing power, but yeah, it did at the beginning. It could be just a fluke run that it increased power initially, but the bottom line is you shouldn't worry if you have to clearance a tube or two.
Yes.think it was power block tv that dyno it. They randomly smashed some tubes. No it wasn’t alot of power but it picked up enough to see on a dyno. Maybe 2-3 hp each time.
I have had a lot of luck with my MT's. No smashed tubes at all. A few little scrapes on the bottom of the collectors, that's it. The only thing I need to be careful of is short speed bumps, the longer ones are no problem at all. Same thing for driveways.

Is there a cheaper reliable option? I have a proform HEI with an adjustable vacuum advance and a summit spring and weight kit.
This is the light I use, https://www.ebay.com/itm/Sears-Craf...639145&hash=item2d2207328c:g:QqwAAOSwzEdf-1dL Look around, you should be able to find one that is near new and tested.
