I loved this quote from the Corvette authenticator . ““The first thing to look at are the tags,” he said. “I find many are on improperly, which signals they were switched. I’ve seen VIN tags glued on. I found one held in place with bubble gum.” Bubble gum?!!!!! Bet that was a “Hubba Bubba” moment from HELL! Sounds like someone got the “Big Red”
Yeh, I just contacted him directly. Paid $45511. Figured I can part them both out and only lose $30,000 instead of restoring them both and losing 160k
There back up...ain't Klein in jail? https://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Buick...2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0
Still seeing them for sale with 6 days 18 hours to go. Maybe the seller doesn't accept payments in corn or cheese ?
Not trying to go off topic here. Joe...I don't think he ever went to jail at all. Many court things around that time were delayed or postponed during the pandemic. In many cases people were given home time because of Covid, or the cases were just dropped. . His FB page describes him as an entrepreneur and the CEO of some Mickey Mouse mail-in international college in MA. I was actually checking on him a year or 2 ago and saw he was now a hero in CT because he reported some break-in in his town to the police! Shady, you betcha'! That might have helped him to get off and been planned. In any event he is still wheeling and dealing in Ferraris, Astons, uber high end musclecars and the like through auctions and ads.
When I first posted this , I said $50,000 ,higher or lower Well $50,000 is the current bid Lots of NOS parts , solid cars , nice interiors ,NO MOTORS , one BB TRANS. Some one with extra cash could save these Buicks, After all the MOPOR guys take pile of scrape metal and make $ 200,000 car from junk ! Bill
Big ole money pit, small community that will mostly know how incomplete & sketchy these are or were =‘s a big ole lo$$ IMHO. Would make cool as hell drivers realizing they aren’t documented, don’t have the primo sought after options, are non matching #’s (and not even ANY motors). Just a real shame these were gutted & now big money is expected but whatever. Dano keeps offering to give me the money to take one of them but I just can’t do it with a clear conscience on one of these my friend
Once again- no one works harder to keep the value of Buicks in the toilet harder than the Buick community itself..
"Auction ended due to error in listing" is code for "The bidding didn't get as high as I wanted it to get, so I'm gonna use the 'error in listing' excuse to avoid selling the car to the person who bid the most"
