Aren't there some nicer hotels downtown near the university (tbh I like staying up by the Corvette plant)? Maybe w/next year being a week later school would be out. I'd imagine graduation is right around mid-may so maybe it doesn't work.
Comfort Suite was across Scottsville Rd from Red Roof and behind the Ford dealer. Completely smoke free facility. VERY nice rooms and free breakfast. Troy
Downside to staying close to 65 is its easy for the pond scum to steal your rig and be gone,...IT happens in BG pretty regularly,..happened several years ago during the nationals,...they stole like 6 rigs all GN's,...LS fest same deal,...corvette show same deal,....too much of a risk pulling it thru town,...
They are legit gone in 60 sec professionals too,..new trucks with all their security features were no match,..they stole a brand new dodge and a 7 second GN it was traced to a shipping dock within hours,..went Saudi Arabia most likely
Actually how does Power Tour deal with potential thieves? I have to imagine there's plenty of time for low lifes to plan that out.
Yea they aren't interested In stealing cars,..they are after a big catch,...new truck,..trailer,..car is a bonus
Like I tell my pop,..when he tells me " I shouldn't leave the C10 outside with those 8in rally wheels" I remind him that it's 2022 and thieves aren't interested in 8in rally wheels haha,...poor pop stuck in the 80s
Sigh. I was at BG in 2005. Even then the parking lot night life was dying down. That was when I had ny '71 GS and the car was standing tall. I would feel safe leaving my beat up '70 Syklark out though lol, nobody wants that car except me. I would just take the coil wire into the room with me.
Back in the day, the only cars that got trailered were race cars. Street cars got driven. Hardly anyone had an enclosed trailer!
