I bet it was probably burnished copper originally. I'd also bet it was probably a bench seat car to boot.
Man you aren’t kidding! When I was 17 working at this total dump of a company I was “lucky” enough to have to paint every piece of machinery in that place in “industrial blue” with yellow guards and that car is so close to that color I almost heaved!
Dano, that's your stripper style, no options, no chrome, no seats & no carpet.... I think Buick Division was supposed to be gentlemanly loaded, just under a Caddy.
Hey my 71 GS350 4 speed car has no air, no power brakes, no air conditioning and bench seat with a 4 speed and it still wears its original paint including a painted black top! I purchased it in 1985!
I like the chrome they came with but otherwise... Yes, the low option cars are very un-Buick like which is why I like them! If I was into Chevelles I'd want a loaded one & tbh, wouldn't mind a loaded GS someday.
It's a Buick and a four speed and a platform to start with I have see worse posted on here before so i guess if it's posted for a lead you can bash it and post harsh comments but if it a members ride nobody is allowed to say those kinda words? I guess i have see enough of people talking down on other people stuff because it's not perfect or up to your level because you have spent unknown amounts of money or time on it and yes it rubs me the wrong way when somebody is different or doesn't have the funds to finish a car and puts it up for sale. just my to cents...
Would love to see this car restored properly - too bad I have so many projects right now. I know I can't save them all, but...
That might be viper blue now that I'm thinking about it. That was a real popular color choice 20 years ago.
