Agreed.....flow numbers are meaningless. You can have some of the best numbers and engine perform like dog **** and visa versa. I couldn't tell you what my heads and intake flow other than a 1050 cfm Holley
Ever have any issues with the windage try cracking at this power level as the mains are known for moving around quite a bit. Cliff
Never had anything together long enough tbh.. and if it moves enough to Crack there's already been enough damage done to make it scrap weight. Am I comfortable with 650~700hp without a girdle...yes I am for a street toy.....every week bracket engine that hooks ...no it won't live
And here in is the issue, here is an awsome combo that is an easy 10 second motor, you most likely couldn't build from new for less not to mention the time it takes.......ppl screams for performance parts and motors but when they are available they just go unsold. If i didn't already have a 494 and 464 I'd be on this.........
I think the reality is this board is less and less about Buicks everyday.. there was a time when there was a ton of performance oriented track members that were regulars. This would have sold in a day 10-15 years ago
If I wasn’t worried about no fill/girdle I would have probably bought it for my bracket car. God knows I’m getting close to having what it would cost just in parts alone!
If it comes to time to split, I'm in line for: I may be dealing with a cracked block here, and I couldn't build your short block plus cam at that price. My top end would look beautiful on that. AND, not scared of cam timing, but would love to know specifics if you can find them. Devon
And if we can go forward, let's talk documentation, stuff like sonic tests, ring gaps, (hone plate or not?) all the way down to the nitty gritty stupid stuff, everything you have. Serious buyer. Devon
