Looks like where an auto floor shift linkage came through at one point.

It's there if you blow up the pic. Hey, at least it's got the correct shift knob:).

Congrats Johnny! Mine is buckets/no consolette as well and optioned very similarly.

    Johnny,

Do you have any Sloan Documents/Wayne Robert's docs or a build sheet for this and did you verify the VIN on that Muncie matched the cowl VIN?

That hole looks about where a console would cover a shifter cable and I'm just noticing those brake/clutch pedals they look like Pontiac pedals.

I've done quite a bit of research on this car and can't recall ever hearing anything about Sloan/Wayne Roberts Docs.

    EDIT: I'm a moron.

I'm sorry. Idk why I spaced that out. I should have gone back and looked.

I'm also told Buick couldn't figure out which direction to go when I came to brake/clutch pedals.

Just when you think you've seen it all with these cars, something else pops up.

The VIN on the Muncie isn't difficult to get a picture of with the car up in the air and the rear end should have an "ON" stamped on the driver's side axle tube of the rear, in case you weren't aware.

is this the orig stage 1 carb that came with it from the factory?
if so what is the date code on it? cowl tag says it was built 4th week of may.
also the dist number was 1112016 which i believe is right

PS Brett your not a moron i appreciate your input and anybody else

Looks like the 90th day of 1970 which would be March 21 I believe and that would be original carburetor to your car. Is the date code on your distributor 9L4 ?

Johnny the date code will be will be before the part number. The number nine is the year the L is the month the four is the date so the date is 69-Dec-4.

Nice car. That hole does leave a question. 4 spd
changed to auto then back to 4spd ? Maybe best case scenario. Price wise buy it for what it is not what we wish it is.

I did see the S4 on the Cowl, I used to run that ignition on my car years ago nothing wrong with it unless the box goes out there’s no parts available for it as far as the coil there is a coil you can use with the S4 if it goes bad I forget exactly which one it is. When you do purchase the car an want to clean up under the hood you can mount the box behind the battery on the Core support.
