You got your water pump installed? Hopefully, the weather will improve in the next couple of days, so Geri and I can make a run up to your place in the GN.

Johnny: Warmer weather and dry streets can't come soon enough. If you do come to Squamish with your 4-speed, let me know in advance, so I can let my cousin know. He once owned a fully-optioned black 1970 GS350 automatic. He bought it in about 1981 and I went to see the car with him when he bought it for $2700 CAD in downtown Vancouver. I had my 1970 Buick Skylark Custom at the time. I then bought my 1972 GS 350 with GSX option package in 1982 and he followed up by buying a Saturn Yellow 1970 non-Stage 1 GSX for about $3900 CAD. We had four Buicks between us - blue, black, orange and yellow - terrorizing our little town.

Couple of old photos from my album:

First picture is of my uncle, Leo, by my cousin's 1970 GSX.

Pretty sure I seen your blue car at the drive in theatre near Patullo Bridge in Surrey about 40 years ago.

I bought my 1970 Skylark Custom in 1980. Although, I didn't go to the drive-in theatre near the Patullo Bridge, the previous owner might have. However, I did a lot of Buick parts hunting in the car salvage yards on Scott Road, just off the Patullo Bridge. The car looked different from the photo I posted above. It was always blue, but had custom pinstriping and a pin-striped outline of a Skyhawk around the L-88 hood scoop, when I bought it. The pinstriping had been done by Doc James. It would have looked closer to this picture, but without the side-pipes and Center Line front rims and would have been pinstriped.

I spent many a Saturday on wrecker row. If you needed a part and one didn't have it you just went to the next one. Bought GS hoods for $150-
$200 back then. The good old days !

Nice pictures, Johnny. Geri and I headed out to Porteau Cove Provincial Park in the GN, yesterday, after the chores were done.
