    Doesn't look that bad really.

That’s what I was thinking. It is the south though-we’re truly amazed by how bad nearly new northern cars look. Personally, I’m used to seeing stuff like this every day: (All these were spotted in the wild, most being driven regularly).

They weren't made to survive long in winter. Even newer cars don't fare well.

IIRC, you know something about that era El Camino? Is a super nice orig. rear bumper worth anything amd what years do they fit? I think it's the same as the one you posted.

That’s a rare unit; it’s a GMC Caballero with the Amarillo two tone package. It’s an ‘85 (and a near twin to my ‘85 El Camino Conquista). It looks to be a rust free survivor, hood doesn’t match, paint is dull, but well optioned. GMC only built about 2500 Caballeros in ‘85, vs. 10 times that many Caminos.
The rear bumpers are the same from ‘78-‘87; the only difference being whether or not it had the rub strips and bumper guards, rub strip w/o guards, or neither. (I know the w/o strips have fewer holes than those with; I don’t know if the bumper guard version is different from the that or not.) Much like our cars, repros suck, chrome is expensive and good driver plus quality has value, probably a couple hundred(?). Issue, as always, is shipping.

I realized that was a GMC & they were kinda rare.

Wow, I knew they were repro'd so figure orig's. weren't worth much. I aquired this one (a fmr. employee abandoned it) & have never had it out of the packaging it was shipped in to him in orig. so no idea which version although I don't think it has bumper guards. Guess I'll have to (it's packaged SO nicely too). Is there a good place to list it? I get good UPS rates so not too worried about shipping it.

ElCaminoCentral.com. Beware though, they’re some cheap bastiges.

Thanks - I'd have to make 25 posts before listing it.

Pat- the 68 doesn't look too bad... Looks like the body/ engine hasn't been apart... I don't think there's 3K worth of parts on there though.

Well... I have that other "thing" coming... And I still have that 68 sitting that's screaming for me to save it.

That 68 would be beautiful redone in that blue color. What did they call that in 68? Looks like it's all there. And an AC car.

It’s either Blue Mist or Aqua Mist-csn’t tell for sure, but most likely the blue. I think the blue interior was not recommended with the aqua exterior.

Max Damage I'm working on it!

It's a gorgeous color, for sure. Even with the rust and "Patina", it's beautiful.

Apparently not real nice either. Thanks for posting but looks like it was deleted.

Sometimes they’re grumpy, too! We have had more than a few scammers lately, but they’re not upfront about trying to sell, they’ll contact a poster directly. Oh well, if you post it on fb or cl let me know and I’ll link it.

I will. Thanks! I thought I saw a thing on there about no links (I did read "read this before posting for sale") but maybe like here there's a leada section.
