Sorry, just seen the post and when I seen the cable I remembered how much of a pain it was.

Would anyone have the assembly sheet for the engine bay main wiring harness…. or some photos they could share? I need to see how it’s supposed to be routed.
Would love to get this beast running.

Al- I have a diagram somewhere... However, it is fairly straight forward. From the bulkhead, behind the brake booster, along the firewall, into the wiper motor and voltage regulator, then along the passenger side of the intake manifold against the valve cover, few connections for the alternator, coil, and distributor, then down behind the coil, along the PS underside of the block by the engine mount, to the starter...

    Thanks!

Would anyone have a photo of the heat shield bolted to the block?

Rather then blowing apart the heat shield that bolts to the block to replace the battery cable, I used some 1/2” and 3/4” (to get over the starter connector) shrink sleeves to redo the shielding. Should last a while.

Thanks! Beautiful job on your car, and great thread! Do you happen to remember the specs on the bolts used to hold the block to the engine?

No I don’t, I used the originals and had them plated.

OK, I've picked up some 15" rally wheels. Any suggestions on tire size?

Changes coming. Cleaned up the rally wheels and resprayed the black. I definitely think it will be an improvement.

OK, not a video, but everything is done with the exception of the heater hoses. Hoping for a start tomorrow.
The 15” Rally wheels are a huge improvement.

Installed the heater hoses, filled the cooling system with coolant……….. time to turn the key. Bang! It runs, but not very well. lol
I’ve got a couple of major vacuum leaks. One on the carb that I need to put a cap on and I also need to pick up a bushing for the power brake connection in the intake so I can’t hook up the vacuum line to the booster. It made fire though, so that’s a good thing! I need to set the timing once I get the vacuum leaks dealt with.
I also need to get the car back on the lift so I can connect the exhaust pipes, tighten up the engine mount bolts, and put the flex plate cover back on. I hope to be able to take this thing for a drive by next weekend.
Once I’ve got the kinks worked out, I’m going to have to swap out the Accel HEI distributor for a stock distributer and coil as the stock ram-air air cleaner won’t fit with the HEI distributor.
I was planning on using the distributor and coil from the 400.
    Any issues with that?

    Thanks in advance.

The booster is hooked up…. one major vacuum leak gone, and I plugged a couple of others. The car now idles and drives! I was able to drive it onto the lift to button up the exhaust, engine mounts, and flywheel cover plate. Small victories.
