Who all do we have in the V8 Forum here,or know about? I am all about the old days of street legal drag racin! There were a few Buick guys in the mix:Bob Gilleland,Steve Cagle,Dale Cherry,Alan Witter,Jim Netherland and many more I cant remember by name. Who did I forget? Alot of the cars I really dig from back in the day were *hevys,but I'll give em thier duean Bills,Spiro Pappas,Nick Scavo,Chuck Samuel,The Inman (Broke) Brothers,Ron Mroz,Bob Hood,Bob D'Andrea,Joe Yatooma,Kurt Urban..the list goes on.There were plenty other folks who made the early 90's cool,so yell out some faves ya'll!...fish PS pics wont hurt either...to start...guess who???
Joel O'donnel who we have recently lost to cancer. Other than that I think you nailed it for the best 10.5 guy's in the early days.

Joel was diagnosed about this time last year Lukemia and limfoma. He passed in dec.He was a great guy one of the best I have met.I'll miss seeing him drive Chad Burns camaro and his 73 ventura.Damn shame. On a lighter note did you know Scott Lavin he had a 66-67 nova that was blue ran ez in the early days.Of course we can't forget Gary Rohe Brian wuszak (sp) Dustin White.
Donny Bray is in the lane next to BJ in that pic..........Donny could always be seen cruisin his 8 second Chevelle then Camaro around Bowling Green when we were in town for the GS Nat's,He was real cool to talk to. My fav's were Hood's Nova and Bills' Chevelle,Good inspiration for the car I have now..........
I have most of the ol school EZ guys pics .. On my website ,its in my profile..cant be sure it still works.I spoke to Dustin ,Wasz and Dave Rudisell(Gary's mechanic and mouthpiece),and some of the others in the old HighPerformanceChat room. I Know I have a pic of Joel's car Somewhere but I have about 50 floppys from back in the day and I have a bad filing system...Im gonna go thru em this weekend and start posting some pics from the good ol days :beer ..fish As for Scott..I cant say I remember him o No: ,probly remember his car,may even have a pic of it..did it have distinguishing characteristics? Gary... The Memphis race that year after Atlanta(where the pic was taken by me),his Chevell,rig and truck were stolen in the parking lot.Ive got tons of pics of the Velle coz I was impressed with the paint job and how it ran. Hood's Nova is so clean you can eat off it..got some excellent pics of it from the nmca website.Mike Ray got some great shots. One of my favorite tshirts is Dan's Velle (yes,hawgs can fly). BTW Gary...bitchin GS!..cant wait to all yall again...fish
Perry I have some decent video of Wasz's Chevelle when the Streetcar org's used to come to Norwalk annually. Hey Gary Isn't that Nick Scaveo's 65 Impala? Before I got into Buicks I loved my Impalas had 2 of them 1966. a 66 SS 396 4speed and a stock 66. Perry If you mean when Factory Street used the BFG Drag Radials there was another Buick,It was a gold 69 that ran low 11's with iron heads,I have the magazine article about the car(April 2000 CarCraft),The guys name is Kurt Frosch from Louisiana.
