Thanks Dave, also, have you been running the carb? Just wondering how it's set up in terms of jetting and metering, does it have the adapter for the Buick linkage and etc.
Dave, I see your only 40 mi from me! What other good 70-72 Skylark 0r 455 parts you wana dig out?? LOL?:bglasses:
Here are a few pics, these are the only numbers on the carb I found. I do not know what kind of tune is on the carb. It was on a car that was traded to me, It ran well with staged heads cam headers and intake. Never needed to take the carb apart. Just decided that I had no immediate plans for this and should not let it go to waste on a shelf.
Dave, I'm going to pass, I've got two of the "S" versions, and they don't have stamped numbers either, so I'm guessing this is another S. Thanks.
69 stage1 is up, please let me know if you are interested. Then you will be next Trevor, dirtrider:beer
What's the difference between an S and an SA? I've been doing some reading on the internet, but can't seem to get a clear answer.
One has push-in style jets (they push into 0-rings) and the other has screw-in style jets. You can identify Comp Series carbs by the flat spots on the top of the carb. That is where they put the orange stickers. Obviously, this carb has the flat spots but the stickers are gone.
Dave, I see that I posted early on in this thread, but I just now noticed that I didn't ask if this carb has the double or the single booster venturis on the primary side. If it has only one booster, it's a 1,000 CFM, but if it has two it's an 850. The Competition Series came in both 850 and 1,000 CFM versions.
