It was a pain driving to work today with my fingers crossed.....
weather is terrrible! only could of went tomorrow anyway. ah well see you guys at Atco in Nov hopefully
We just talked to Jim Halsey and we've decided to Cancel Saturday. We are working on a Raindate of November 7th. I'll post when it's definate.:TU:
My favorite drag racing event. I will look foward to next year if there is no rain date.
Here's hoping for the 7th,but...
I may have a car ready by then....
A rain date would be sweet. Cecil on the 7th and Atco on the 8th:eek2: :eek2:
I was really looking forward to the event. 7th is not likely (but I'll try anyhow)...
Thanks for the effort, I know these events take a LOT of time to put together!
I'm not waiting for next year. TNT at Cecil this Wednesday the 21st. Early weather report shows next Fri/Sat wet but this coming Tues, Wed, Thurs, sunny and 60. Now that this weekend is shot I can't take a chance on next weekend.
I am going to give the E-Town BOP meet next Sunday a try if the weather holds. Hope to see a lot of Buicks there.
Couldn't work out better!
How far of a drive is it from Cecil to Atco? If i make the trip out on the 7th (if they get it rescheduled for then) i might just have to drive up for that race to.
1hr.. It's just southeast of philly.
Details for the Atco event?
This wed night is looking good for Etown. 65 degrees and sunny.
I think now at this time of the year, you have to seize the moments!
Get there when you can!!!!!!:3gears:
Big thanks to John and the crew. Got my nice little care package from them as soon as I pulled up!!! And nice new shirts for the whole family!!
Thanks Again John.
So Etown was a mess today. I know as I type this, Mr Artie ie, NJbuickracer, is still waiting for his second round!!!
I went faster today so i'm happy.:3gears:
So how fast did you go???
Was there a good turnout?
Just heard from NJBuickracer and he just went his fastest.:3gears:
Here it is fellas, he went 13.69 at 94.8 mph. only 82,600 original miles on that bad boy!!!:bglasses: And he was off it at the top cause he thought he had the guy in the white Turbo car(I think running high 11's) but didn't. And he broke out.
I can't believe how good he has that car running. He just threw a new carb at it for today. So i'd say it's working!!!
There must have been a million cars there Walt, you couldn't even find pit space and the lot is huge!!
I went 12.20 at 109.
E-town was a mad house! First round eliminations didn't start till almost 4!
Any word on a Cecil raindate?
