    Hey guys,
Looking for a set of 14x7 steel wheels. The style to take dog dish caps.
These will have either an "IF" or "XT" code by the valve stem.
I believe these we mostly found on 70-72 cars
    THANKS

I wasnt being sarcastic, i was trying to be sympathetic, it took me 2 years to get a set, one at a time...so i dooooo get it.

SO heres one on ebay that didnt sell, sometimes you can contact the seller and get it, they are tough to get.....and by the way they do grow on trees....money trees....right next to the $100 dollar bills...

They also are for Olds 70-72 W-30 and 31 cars. I just paid 1000.00 for a set of 4 and was glad to get them. I need another set. :eek2:

I would spend $400 on a brand new repro set that are nice, true,no rust pits, then get out your stamp set:Smarty:

People get too goofy about these stupid codes:Smarty:

    Good luck in your search.

It has definatly crossed my mind. Just trying to exhaust all options before entertaining the repro route

The problem is I have never been able to find a repo set of 14 X 7 . Plenty of 14 X 6 out there. If anyone knows of some, I agree with Tom . Unless you are doing a correct car , then the price of codes is just one of the prices you pay .

Stockton Wheel in california will make them up your you. I had them make me up a pair of 14x8 for a particular project about a year ago. Cost was about $80-$90 ea. if my memory serves me. In fact one of the Chevy parts houses(Heartbeat chevy) stocks the 14x7 Steelies at a cost of $98 Dollars. They have a listing on ebay on a regular basis. So YES there are other options.
The sad part is in my younger day me and my pals tossed sets of these out in favor for Mag wheels. At the time who the heck wanted hub caps!!!!!!

I too am looking for a set of 14" steel wheels for my 70 Stage1 to put my Deluxe wheel covers on. It came with the H78 14 tires. So how wide should my wheels be? And what backspace should I be looking for?

A good place to find originals(mainly IF's) are on 69-72 Pontiac Grand Prix's that have full wheel covers.

All 69-72 GP's came with 14x7 wheels, either the popular Rally II's, or 14x7 steel with deluxe wheel covers.

    Hope this helps.
