A friend of mine is looking for a set (4) of 5 bolt 4.75" pattern GM steel wheels in the Central Florida area. Anybody?
Any salvage yard will have them....did you try LKQ U-pull-it on SR50? Those are common on all 77-87 GM full size rear wheel drive...just check the offset...some Olds and Pontiac had a different offset/backspace.
77-90 Full size cars with the heavy duty or "fleet" suspension will have 5 x 5 wheels, make sure you know the difference.
have 3 AO wheels off a chevelle (I think) has center caps and beauty rings. They were on the Lark I bought from Kelly Doke
All 71-76 B cars had a 5 x 5 pattern Some 77-90 B cars had a 5 x 5 pattern - probably depended if it had "F41" or fleet/police 9C1 style suspension package All 91-96 B cars had a 5 x 5 pattern
Based on my 30+ years of yarding...can tell you for certain...77-87...very rare to find 5x5 rims...only found a few and those were on full size wagons....99% of the 81-87 full size BOP have the 4.75" bolt circle.
Rant: thanks to our gubnent and those who elect them, Cash for Clunkers took its toll...its harder to find even the most basic old parts in yards especially if it was steel..
Just double checked. Wheels are for a T-Bucket. The pattern needed is the older 5 X 4.75 on 15 steel wheels
I was also on the hunt for a set and followed Georges advice. I found a set from a local junk yard from a 1979 or 1980 Caprice. Blasted them, painted them and they look great. Did not pay a bunch either!
you would enjoy el paso's east side u pull it. most stuff is boring fwd mid eighties and up, but they still get amazing drop offs. yard just brought in a pair of 75 - 79 X coupes, and a 65 valiant two door post. there are four Mark IV chevy long blocks in there in trucks right now waiting to be pulled and carted off. They had four 73 - 74 Novas within a year span, and three 72 - 73 Torino coupes and a 71 Cougar. All rock solid and savable.
