Get the grinder and trim it up. Step up n get ready for your race. A little trimming goes a long way. How far have you taken it so far?
Not helping. I have bent back the stainless molding, but I do not want to grind it. The right way to do this is with more back space. If it wasn't for the wait, I would just order one and be done with it.
OK, so, in the mean time, I ordered two 15 X 8" wheels with 5" of B.S. from Wheel Vintiques. Like other companies, they are facing supply side delays. They say August. I can cancel the order until they actually build them. So , if by some miracle I find them here on V8, I have some options.
Hi Larry, this popped up again on Facebook today w a new price. I know you already ordered 2 but wanted to share just in case.
Larry, Did you get a decent shipping quote from wheel vintiques? I was going to order 4 15x7’s and they wanted $205 on their website. I was thinking of going through Jegs/Summit and order from them as shipping would be free and come direct from wheel vintiques delayed of course as you mentioned.
Fred, it was 57.00 for 2 wheels, not bad. I tried to order them from Sumitt, but no go for the custom back spacing.
I figured I might as well. They charge your card because they are custom back space, but the salesman said you can cancel up to the time they actually make them.
Been a while since I spoke with him, but if memory serves me right you send cores to be taken apart and rechromed and possibly re=hooped to make a different size or offset
Yeah, I think they would have the same supply side issues as WV, and then the re chroming. Probably just as, if not more expensive. My wheels are mint. I just need a bit more back spacing on that one side. It makes more sense for me to buy 2 rims (one for street tire, one for Drag Radial, then sell my current rims to recoup the cost. Thanks for the link though.
