1968 was the first year for hideaway wipers on Wildcats (probably Lesabre and Electra as well?). The space between the hood and windshield where the wipers "park" is very narrow. I found 1 old style steel low profile wiper blade, opened it up and replaced the insert. The other one is a newer plastic type and the wipers jam on start up unless the hood is open. Hardly an ideal scenario if it starts raining. Question is: Does anyone have an 18" old style wiper blade in repairable condition? Or are they available someplace I haven't looked? can't find any in local scrap yards. Here's some pics: Early steel type wrong newer plastic one

Looks like Anco makes a ‘Vintage’ blade that’s correct. Trico was oe and made replacements under their Classic series but seem to have quit. Check the Anco 2018 in the link: https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog...id+v8,1025008,wiper+&+washer,wiper+blade,8852 Patrick
