4 door originally from Pennsylvania. Rusty has infiltrated the paint. No holes in body. Has been in barn since 2008. Suspension problems. Engine has about 96K, good runner. Interior is in excellent condition as front and back seats had seat covers! Radio worked. Selling immediately, as property in Elko, Nevada has been sold and car MUST be removed from the property. Priced for quick sale at $300. Tons of great parts. Must be removed during the last week of July. Questions? Let me know soonest. Clear Title.
Wow...this would be the car I'd want, too bad I'm up in Canada. Any way you could get a couple of shots of the interior or the engine compartment before it sells? This probably won't last 10 minutes at that price.
Electra should have rear wheel well stainless trim- not seeing it here. If it were on the central East Coast, I'd be there in the morning.
I am 700 miles from the car. That's why I stated car is available the last week of July. It may sell before I can get pictures. We'll see. Never say never!
Thanks Erik, there are 3 of these things that I'm aware of in our neighbourhood alone, all in around the same condition; - and one might come up for sale. I don't really want a LeSabre sedan, particularly not a Canadian one, because they're totally devoid of any options, some of them are even radio delete. A lot of these cars sold to people who grew up with Model Ts; farmers who didn't trust any "fancy city-slicker stuff" for options, they didn't need it so it was never ordered. The other reason Canadian built 59 Buicks seem to be devoid of any options is because an economic recession was in full swing and nobody up here had any money. I think they only built LeSabre and some Invicta hardtops in Oshawa, all the Electras and the better Invictas came from the US. I'll happily look at a solid restorable and complete Electra or Invicta, and I would entertain a 4 door hardtop (flattop style) if nothing else is available. There was an Electra in Saskatchewan but it was too crusty and half of the unobtainium parts were no good or gone. I'd also happily trade my 66 Electra convertible for a nice driver quality 59 Invicta or Electra hardtop. I also had my doubts that the OP car was an Electra, which is why I suggested that some pictures of the interior and engine bay would help. A good 59 Buick is tough to find; - most are rusted beyond salvage or being offered at incredible prices. And with my lousy Canadian dollars I'm pretty much priced out of the market for anything good in the US or Europe.
