Seeing as how really nice ones struggle to bring mid 20's, whats this one really worth except for parts? Sounds harsh but unless you owned your own restoration shop or were independently wealthy. how can you fix this and not have 5 times its value invested in it?

To answer your question, it all depends how motivated or desperate the seller is. At this point, what do you do with it? Only good for parts IMO. Whats it worth? Whatever someone is willing to pay for it.

I sold one last year that was just as rusty and NOT running. Engine was torn down to the short block and rusted cylinders, etc. Sold it for $3100 and could have done more.

Look at this car closer, it would need a close inspection of the rockers and quarters. I think that thick white paint is hiding some naughty bits.

Regardless, it is a 2 door hardtop, and the Cadillac crowd eats these things up.

This car can be restored. You will be upside down, but it can be saved. I just asked a professional Cadillac (59-60) appraiser and he said it's all in at $2500, no more. I guess I got lucky with the one I sold. I didn't even own that one for a day before it was sold. Easiest sale ever! A 60 Cadillac is a bucket list car for me, though.

All that red one needed on Ebay was an underhood "Smartinizing"

And a damn color sand and buff. For an extra $300, that car could gain at least a grand in curb appeal with a good cut.

I dont know. Maybe the engine, tranny, rear end, some trim if there is any good left. and turn the rest into a couple couches or a bar for a man cave and maybe its worth 2500 or more depending on what those couches can be sold for. I mean it is a 60 after all. Sell off whatever other parts are usable and maybe if youre lucky the doors are saleable.and glass. I dont know.

This is the bottom rung 60 Cadillac as well - they have it listed as a series 61 but believe it should be listed as a series 62 since there was no series 61 in 1960. So this is a Cadillac coupe but not a Coupe DeVille - Would be similar to buying an Electra or an Electra 225

Wow...this poor guy got in over his head deep...sure, it's got "potential", sure it's a 2dr Caddie, but man, what a wreck!

This car is a frame off and a rotisserie to do it right, otherwise it'll all come apart again. You'll need a good sheet metal fabricator, because parts are probably next to nonexistent. Then you need a good welder; - a guy who knows what he's doing, not some barnyard hack who's had some good luck with a MIG after a couple of spliffs. Sure, it can be restored, and it would have to be a labour of love; - otherwise it's a parts flip.

You'd have to be in love with that car to even think about a restoration. The only other option, besides parting it, would be to gut it and put the shell on a tube chassis.

Or Rat Rod it super low budget style--just weld ugly and rough, flat black the exterior, and put indian blankets on the seats.

I wonder whats left of the frame. Says it runs and drives and has new brakes. maybe he just wants 2500 so he is asking 5k.

Looks like most of the hard works has been done.

Heck, new carpet, a good clearcoat, and...

Wonder if the cigarette lighter works.
