Yeah, that's my problem...it looks "do-able"...but that could be just packed bondo too. Now do I want to do it...if it was an Electra or an Invicta, it's a no-brainer, I'd have already called. But it's a LeSabre...

I think you would be safe at a $1,000 CDN OBO just for the fenders , bumpers and hood! If the motor still rolls over, bonus! It does look like it's all there to me. It will as usual cost more to bring back than it's worth as a LeSabre, but it sure would be a fun project. I bet he would take $700.

There's something about this car that makes me want it. Other than the tweaked bumper, it looks damned straight for something that long:p The more I look at it the more my Spidysense is tingling. Buy it Marc, you're still young enough to finish it before you croak .:D

I'm assessing my limitations...for once it isn't the money, but it's my back and health. So tempting....

Because of the frame it's under, I wonder if it was mostly undercover? The engine compartment looks pretty rust free! Make a deal and scoop it when the snow melts.
It's closer to you than to me:rolleyes: You would have to spend a lot of time on your back and sitting on tires doing the brakes etc. with the car on jack stands. If you make the "old fart groan" whenever you get out of a chair, it's probably too late to start another:D

Well, just to give you an idea of how bad the back is, I'm flat on it right now as a result of 4 hours in safety boots. Every bad disc/vertibre in my back lit off again...damn! Back to swallowing Advil like candy again!
I'm still thinking about it. But in my current shape I couldn't even sit in the truck to go get it for more than an hour.
The other issue with that part of Manitoba is it's in a flood plain that floods annually. If I do call that's the most important question and would determine whether I take the chance.
