Are there any pics in the ad? I am at work, and can't view CL.:af: and the only way I can see photos, is attachments.:af: I want, I want, I want, I want!!!!!!
I'd be very leary of that car without a thorough inspection by someone local (or yourself) before you buy it. You could be buying a major rust bucket. If the ad actually says there's rust, there must be LOTS of it:laugh:
For those of you who can't see the pics: :TU: 1963 Buick LeSabre with factory 4 speed for sale. 100K miles. Body has rust. Needs interior work. Very rare car.
I sent an e-mail to the owner, here's his reply. If anyone is interested I'll go take a look on Saturday. "Car runs but body needs restoration. Floors have been patched (riveted), same for rear quarters. Rust through in trunk. Convertible top needs to be replaced as well as interior. Bascially needs restoration.Engine rebuilt at 80K miles. Now has ~ 100K. Car is numbers matching. Value is in rarity of 4 speed. This is a very low production car. Probably less than 10."
Wonder if the owner would be willing to negotiate on the price. That would be a lot of work!! JerryF Sent you a PM!
63-64's are a Bitch to redo if they are rust buckets........... I've got a shifter console and hump for those cars if anyone is interested..... Peace WildBill
Hi WildBill, I just joined the Forum and am working on a project '63 Lesabre Convertible with a factory 4 speed. I saw your post from last February that you have the floor hump and shift console. Any chance that you still have? I'd like to tell you more about this project if you have time. Thanks!
