Side Cornering Lamps on a LeSabre....Hmmm! Thats new to me. I have never seen them on a LeSabre, and I have owned a few. Must be a Special Option! Have you tried to decode your Data Plate?

soberarmy- Your car doesn't look to bad! Nice Job on the 401. I was gonna go that route, but I found a good cheap 455 and threw that in there. If I do get around to rebuilding the 425 I have, I might do another swap!

Cornering lamps were a standard factory option on the LeSabre, just as they were on the Wildcat and Electra 225.

Heres some pics of the beast.
Ive seen lots without the corner lamps, were they maybe just on part of the 62-64? model run?

These were an "option" on the cars -- not "standard" equipment. The cars have them only if the original buyer paid extra to have them installed at the factory. These explains why most of them do not have the cornering lamps; they were an extra cost item.

In my earlier post, I should have said that they were a "regular factory option" rather than a "standard factory option", in case my wording caused confusion.

Yeah, as soon as I have a little bread to blow I need to source out a door. I may bolt the rusty one off but I don't want it spreading it's cancer to the door frame.

Man, I have no floorpans north of the seat bolts, lol

My parents owned a 1964 LeSabre 2dr. hardtop for most of my childhood. Even then I thought it was the coolest car in town. I will find some pictures of it and post them. They finally got rid of it in 1980. It was midnight blue with light blue interior, with a 300 V8 and a 3 speed auto. I knew back then I would be sorry to see it go, now I'm looking for one. So nostalgic...

1964 Wildcat convertible 4 speed. By the way, it is now for sale if I can get enough for it to carry out a plan I have. Have owned for 25 years. Sold a wonderful 1964 Riviera that I drove from coast to coast and all around the country in the summer of '83 to get the Wildcat - had to have that convertible, and 4 speed. Would like to get it to a fan of the car who has more time for it, but I need to sell it for a price that allows me to get a new car.

    68riviera430 BRRRRAAAAP!

Looking at a 64 Lesabre wagon, all original numbers matching with a factory interior that was some sort of special option (it has cowboys all over it? haha)
Deciding between it and a 67 skylark vert

Rick, Nice car, I was lookin at that Longroof, but it was a bit out of my price range.
I think it would look better with steelies, or some nice supremes, and lowered to the ground!
    Good luck with it.
