actually I think it was 445 lbft torque = 401" motor . 465 lbft torque = 425" motor . and I have a 65 'cat motor . out of a very clean car and about 60,000 when I got it . older guy had it , neighbor kid stole it , drove it about a hundred yards down road and ditched it . front was wanged up . had it listed on here awhile ago , pulled ad , thinking about keeping it but ----- ?$?$ . plus looking to clean out barn/shop . it's apart , new pistons , balanced , crank n rods done etc . have rings n bearings for it . block n pistons +.030 . matching switch TH400 done . have heads , intake and an extra engine ( apart ) and trans ( 66 I think , yeah , came out of a riv ) and boxes of extra nuts n bolts and rockers , heads , exh manifolds , distributors , starter , etc . you'll need carb , tq converter , and water pump n misc stuff . stuff has been carefully stored , covered , inside . really like those motors . nice street rod mill - pretty . FYI - it's about a 6-7 hour drive . used to go that way quite often when daughter was going to KY to college .
I just came across a 401, not sure of year, its in storage as it has been for the past 20 years. Im sure it needs a rebuild or at least a good fresh'nin up. It was complete as far as I could tell. Lemono if interested. This motor is in St Pete FL. Wheelz, Tampa Bay
