1965 Skylark Mirror mounting

    On my 65 i have a non-stock mirror on the drivers door and would like to change it to an orginial. Does anyone have a picture of how a stock mirror mounts? Does it screw to the door or to a mounting plate attached to the door?

    Any help would be great!!!

    I don't have a photo, but there is a mounting plate that attaches to the door, then the mirror attaches to the mounting plate with one screw.

    That makes sense. Guess I am off on a search for two mounting plates for my newly aquired mirrors.

    Are they non remote Tri shield mirrors? I can see if I have any brackets around here for them if they are.

    Hey I got a new set of underhood insulation from Year One that I am not going to use. Could you put it to use?
