Complete from oil pan to air cleaner, all accessories and AC included. . I don't think it's ever been apart, will cruise all day long, no smoke. Im replacing it with an LS. Located in Oklahoma City, no interest in shipping. I want this engine to find a good home, so it's cheap for anyone with a good story.
Ok Zoomin, Don't have much of a story but I am in Tulsa trying to put together a 65 special 2 door post. Drove the car for 2 weeks it had a broken exhaust pipe at the right manifold. Decided to put duel exhaust on the car and after that you could hear a knock in the motor. Found that the cam gear had lost all the plastic around the gear. Decided to do a timing chain and gears and while I was waiting for parts decided to do the valve covers and intake gaskets. Then decided to rebuild the rocker shafts. Then I turned the camshaft and low and behold it has a 3 flat lobes. Lookin for a new heart beat for her while I take my time and rebuild the original engine. How much you want for the engine?
I just love it when members help members and don't kill them on parts prices. A engine in this case. Zoomin post some pictures of your 66. Sounds like its going to be a sweet ride with a LS setup.
I really want to see as many Buicks on the road as possible. It amazes me how many people say they've never seen one. When I get in a conversation about my hobbies and the Skylark comes up, people can't picture it. Tell them it's Buick's executive version of a Chevelle or GTO and they get an idea then.
Zoomin, I have to agree with Mike. That is going to be one fine machine. Keep us updated on the status of the car. Do you have another build thread already started somewhere? Hopefully my 66 GS will look as good(original colors) here soon. Hopefully I'll be getting the body massaged and painted in the next few months.
I've been watching Ruth on the Chebby truck site. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=546896
Thanks, Mike Check the build thread using the link FormerGNowner included. The lines on these cars are just so good, you can't go wrong. You have a build thread? Thanks for the link. What's your screen name over there? Glad it worked out. Look forward to meeting ya.
I checked out the link. That's going to be a awesome 66. No I haven't started a build thread yet. Still waiting on a body man before I start tearing into it. I want to have it gapped before I tear it apart.
