4 WAY flasher unit pulled from 66 wildcat, complete with harness and fuse panel plug. $80.00 plus postage
I would need a real good look at all the wire connectors to say for sure. But I think it likely this 4 way unit will only work on cars with tilt columns if you want to just plug and play so to speak. To use on a non tilt would mean cutting and splicing. But again it depends on the wire connectors. I imagine it works by plugging between the existing switch and the dash harness. But should work on any 66 GM car with tilt column, all sizes, probably more years too, like 65 and 64 at least (with tilt). Mike
Did it work well before you removed it? Did you simply "unplug" the wires, or was it more intimately installed? If it works, and is compatible with a '65 Sportwagon without tilt, I want it. Best regards, Steve in Mpls.
Yes I just unplugged unit except, has was explained in previous post it might require a rewire or splice for your Sport wagon. Thanks Mike for that info. It functioned properly in the 66 Cat. Have a 65 service manual will see what it says. Thanks Mel
Scanned a page from 65 service manual, from looking at connectors it plugs in between the directional switch connection. should work for 45000,46000,48000 and 49000 models. For some reason it will not let me upload scano No: Mel
tilt only, unless you cut the triangle connector off and figure out a splice..and it would be a shame to kill a rare tilt signal...just sayin 65-66 tilt across the GM line..ive had many and sold many, and have never had one for tilt they are rare...
