This is the color of my 66 GS vert project. Don't care for it and was gonna do a color change, but this hardtop looks great in this color with the red pinstripe and redlines! The dash, carpet and console are supposed to be black, but the color change he did looks very nice.
I thought the interior looked too bright, just couldn't place what was wrong. Also the underside of the trunk lid should be body color. And not to pick on it, but that tail light panel should be black up to the trunk weatherstrip shouldn't it?
I like when y9u guys point out what's wrong with a car. Me I just saw no a/c. no 4 speed, probably no tilt or am/fm for a car with a an asking price no sane person would pay for a garden variety 66/67 GS. Two 4's are nice eye candy, but so what, after the hood's down nobody sees it. I do like the way the interior was done, kinda brightens it up. As for the trunk, paint is expensive and maybe not painting it was a way to keep costs down. (kidding) That would be an excellent high teens car as it sits (delete the 2X4 to keep price down). I over paid for mine, but it looks like the deal of the century compared to this one.
The way it's pained is correct for a '66. ..... black paint is between the two stainless strips. '67 GS had black paint up to the trunk w/s. Inside of front fenders should be painted body color too, not black. Wonder what the deal is on those redline tires.... the red sure looks extra wide, almost like they were whitewalls painted red.
