Hmm.. it's certainly cheap enough, and looks like it has a full load including cruise control. It would be a nice car. The air cleaner could be a replacement, the valve covers look like 430, (I could be wrong though) but it wouldn't surprise me if the engine wasn't replaced because the early 430 had a bad head design that would cause it to prematurely fail. I don't think the chrome wheels were available on Electra in 67; - here again, I could be wrong. They look good on that car though. Nice car if the ad is real though.
I believe it's the 1967 big-port heads cracking issue which is being floated (same heads I'm using)...probably just grabbed a 1970 air cleaner & the block is still a 430...
I could be mistaken but isn’t that a thermo vacuum switch in the intake? Was that used in 1967? I thought it was new in 1968 to meet 68 emissions standards?? It’s definitely a 67 vented oil filler cap
It's not uncommon to see a 455 in one of these at all. They do look like 430 valve covers but they will fit on a 455 without an issue, so you'd want to see the casting numbers on the back of the block. Yes, the chrome wheels were NOT available on Electra in 67, but they do look good and at least they are using the correct 67 center caps (although they appear to be Wildcat centers). Finding steel rims and the correct wheel covers shouldn't be too difficult if you wanted to go back to stock. I had the chrome rallye wheels on my Electra when I bought it, but I like the look of the wheel covers much nicer.
