I have 2 67 Buick Special, and both radios are the same as the pics. Based on what 455monte has stated, Ebay's may be a 66.
Could the 904's have two style push knobs?

Thats what I am wondering. Ken - are your 67's as made by the facroty, as, could the radios been replaced at some time? Or maybe the special radios were different than the sky's/GS in 66 and 67?

When I bought my car it had a cheapo aftermarket radio in the dash and a factory AM/FM lying in the trunk. I don't know the part number on it, but it has the '66 style push buttons that i'm assuming came originally installed in the car, the reason being that it has the factory tall, single mast AM/FM antenna on it. Who knows what the factory and/or the previous owners did, i'm just glad that it works fine after replacing the dash speaker.

Parted a bunch of 67's over the years and 1 66. I have 6 of these radio's, and there is several of each style button. All have the same part #. Makes me think that the change was a mid year 67 change.

    FWIW....my car has a 11D build date.

    Kens pics are a 67.
Fred u could be onto something.
It wouldn't suprise me if they had leftover 66 radios go into early 67s. Just like the 3 piece front fender well trims early 67s had

The car in my portfolio was a barned find. My second one I bought from a one owner old lady.
I believe the radios are factory originals.

That's always been my theory as well. Especially AM/FM radios, not too many cars equipped with them back in '67.

Has the OP (Mike) found his radio?

Answered his PM, sent pics, and then nothing. He's been on the board so who knows. I put my radio away.

I am moving forward in another direction with my AM radio that's for sale. Good luck Mike T.

Guys, I have purchased the radio Ken offered. Thanks all. FYI: Side note, when I first joined this site, I had it all setup to notify me when new parts were added or anyone responded to any message I responded too. For the last year or so I'm no longer notified by email. I really miss that feature and yes I did go in and check that all my settings are correct so have no idea why it does not work. Again thanks all.
