Folks...I am 99 percent certain that I know this car from the Virginia area. I am just confirming with the current owner. I can give details of the car if my speculations are correct.
Any info you can provide would be GREATLY appreciated, it is from the VA area where my folks lived, and thats where i beleive my stepdad got it. So anything you can shed light on would deffinatly help out. Thanks David
Folks, I received confirmation that this is the same car, therefore, I will provide some information: I had seen the car in the late 90's for sale at Penny's Autosalvage in Woodbridge Va. Car was originally red (same color as mine) with a black vinyle roof. Also, the car came from New Jersey before coming down to Virginia. The seems on the black top teared, therefore, causing water traps. This caused a baseball size hole on the top of the roof. A guy who owns a restoration shop bought the car and put in a complete new interior...seats (front and rear), door panels, carpet, and headliner. He painted the car burgandy and took off the soft top. He also had the front and rear bumpers rechromed. I know the car runs excellent and seemed to be a factory 4-speed car. The car was sold again after the car was restored. My friend Jan Garwig had bought the car and did some work to it. I was very sad when Jan passed away last November in which I never knew what happened to the car but now I know it has been passed to his stepson. The car is worth every amount of 7k!! The car appeared to be straight with some rust issues before being painted but nothing earth shattering. In my opinion, I would get the top fixed professionaly (metal patched - paint has peeled on top) and put the vinyle top back on. These cars are getting very hard to find. I hope someone buys this car as it was a favorite to Jan Garwig...btw, Jan was a member of V8 Buick.com and loved his Buicks. Good luck....my apologies for not writing indivdually to those who wrote to me. Dave...regards to your Mother
Ken, Thanks for the information. It is deffinatly a small world on here, my jaw bounced off the desk top when you mentioned Jan. I now know a bit more about the car, and you are right on the money when you say the 67 was a favorite of his, it ran a close 2nd to his GN <G>. again thanks for the the info. David
