I'm thinking you already gave it away...http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/free-10-bolt-positraction-rear-end.331455/
Wheel well moldings are long gone - sold. The only parts I have left that I don't need are the A-arms, wheel spindles, power steering gear box, and steering links.
Well, I do have that left over. It's a speed minder instrument panel if it matters. I can shoot photos and a price later today.
Speed minder means it has a little adjustable needle in the speedometer display. If the vehicle exceeds the speed the needle is set at, a buzzer goes off, reminding you to slow down. You can see the needle set to about 67 mph in the second photo. It won't work unless your car originally had one. I haven't testing anything on this one so not sure if the lights work or not. Replacement bulbs are available. Mounting screws included. $80 plus shipping. Photos below:
I don't think it will work, Mine does not have a three speed face. My car is a 67 skylark 2dr sport coupe... yours is really nice though
Any chance you have the rear frame to cross member stiffener gussets? They are buried way up above the rear shocks to strengthen the frame corners. This is for my '64 Special. Also need some BBB front springs if compatible and a BBB (455) manual flywheel. Just sayin' about the last one LOL... Bill
Frame was toast when I got the car so I don't have the stiffener gussets. I do have set of front '67 Gs400 front springs. No flywheel.
Kinda interested in the springs albeit a tad light for a 455... thoughts?? I know I dont want the "rail" look, and a gasser on the springs is just the opposite. Please advise... ws
Sure, it's still for sale. PM me if interested. First of all I'm not sure the will work on a '64. That combo has exceed the limits of my obscure Buick knowledge. As far as using them with a 455 vs. a 400, the engines should weigh about the same. The springs cam out of an A/C car and to my knowledge A/C car had slighter heavier springs up front due to the weight of the A/C compressor and the A/C parts. Now a 455 will make more torque than a 400 (all else being equal). So you could probably rationalize that springs from a 400 with A/C might just work in a '64 with no A/C and a 455, at least from a spring rate perspective. PM if interested.
Hi Stacey... Im gonna do some interchange numbers at the motor parts store tomorrow, I hope. Can you shoot me your best $$$ plus shipping (approximate) to 54241? Thanks, Bill in TR Any exspurts care to ad to this??
Hey Stacey do you still have the floor shifter ??? and would that fit a 66 Skylark convertible ?? if so how much would you like for it ???
