Could someone tell me if the rear quarter panels on a 1967 Skylark are identical to a 1967 GS400?

    Thanks

Yes, they are the exact same.
Well... I take that back. The tiny holes for the emblems are different. But if someone has the skills to swap quarter panels, they can definately change the emblem mounting holes with no problems.

    Thanks allot for the reply!

Does anyone reproduce them? Or Do I have to find some decent originals?

    Thanks again

Yes, they are reproduced (just the lower half, under the body line)... but they are JUNK.
There was a guy selling a bunch of them on ebay this winter too.
I've always heard they are junk, but never had any experience with them until earlier this year when we put a pair on my ragtop.
They don't fit the car at all.
The wheel well opening isn't even shaped close to right (I had to shorten my wheel well chrome strips about 1" and the arcs aren't shaped right either)

Unfortunately, they are all that is avaliable. Your chances of finding good used quarters are pretty slim. 99.99% of the 67's rusted out many years ago.
If I had it to do over, I would have paid a pro to make patches by hand out of flat sheet metal. It would have taken longer, and probably cost 10x what I paid for the quarters, but the end result would have been MUCH nicer.
Luckily my car isn't a show car so I wasn't too worried about it.

There is a guy on the board who has an NOS set of original hardtop Buick 67 quarters. (most likely the last set on this planet) He needed some cash and had them for sale a year ago or so. "staged67gspower" (George P) I don't think they sold.

Too expensive for my low-budget clone project. (maybe asking $5K?? I forget exactly) They deserve to go on a full frame off high dollar restoration.

    Good luck:TU:

Hey thanks again for the reply and all the information. I guess I may have to have mine repaired. Like you said most all the panels I find are shot!

    Have a good one!
