Recently decided to part out a 67 skylark that has a column shift tilt column. It would probably need refurbished before useable. Any idea what would be a fair asking price? I’m not that knowledgeable about the 66-67 parts.

I would think $225 be fair

    Sounds about right.

I once drove 3 hours and paid 600 for an entire 4 door parts car to get a column shift tilt. Which I put on the shelf and still haven't put in my car. I sold the rearend for 300 from that car so I figure I got 300 in the column

    Hi,

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't 67 a 1 year only something to do with it being collapsing for crash standards?

Believe it would work for a 64-67

    Regards,
    Jim

Yes 1 year only column! Tapered roll pins that break and let the column collapse! 67 do use a different mounting collar to bolt it to the dash! Column can be modified to use but the correct ones fit and function with the corresponding years better!

The '67 column is also slightly different because it was the first year for the hazard flasher knob.

This was one of the federally mandated safety features that became required on all 1967 US automobiles by the Highway Safety Act of 1966. It included things such as collapsible steering column, dual reservoir master cylinder, rear back-up lights, safety glass, emergency flashers, etc

I'd be interested in it. I live in Idaho so I'm guessing shipping wouldbe required. A quote would be great if it's still available.

I’ve not listed it for sale yet. Was trying to get a ballpark value on it
